By taking over “Spinnweberei Uhingen GmbH“ in June 2014, the technical textile manufacturer Ettlin AG has just developed promising product fields within the classical textile business, has become considerably more flexible and has become a full-range supplier.

Highlight of the trade fair exhibition, the company will be presenting a new architectural fabric, which is embedded in glass, possesses excellent solar control properties when used in facades and windows. The fabric functions by means of angular selectivity, reflecting light and heat depending on the incidence of the sun’s radiation. The new material will be available in a range of surfaces (copper-, bronze- or gold-coloured).

Ettlin will be presenting another high-tech textile materials area: the photometric special fabric Ettlin lux, which generates 3D luminous structures under LED illumination. Ettlin has also recently released AmbiLoom, a luminous ceiling made of glass, for serial production. An advanced development of Ettlin lux, it makes use of the extraordinary 3D depth effect.

A newly developed textile that triggers an alarm with a location sensor in the event of damage is highly promising. Ettlin will also be presenting a C-leg prosthesis with a fabric load cell for detecting loads, as well as a textile-based bus system.
