Presented four years ago, the Qmilk fibre has since asserted itself on the market, achieving an annual production capacity of about 1,000 tons. The standard offer includes a round fiber section, 1.7, 3.3 and 6.1 dtex and multi-filaments and staple lengths of 5 to 60mm. Fabrics made of Qmilk are equipped with temperature regulating properties and have a very pleasant, silky feel. Qmilk is naturally antibacterial against Staphylococcus aureus and E. coli with a growth inhibition of about 99 percent. The fibre has a natural flame and UV-retardancy and is 100 percent sustainable. The raw material casein is produced from nonfood milk. Qmilk fibres are strictly tested for contaminants and dermatologically tested for skin and body compatibility. Qmilk uses only natural and renewable raw materials and is therefore free of optical brighteners or environmentally risky resources.
