Trützschler Nonwovens’ complete line concepts and technologies will be demonstrated. Multimedia and interactive presentations will shed light on line layouts, machinery, applications and end products. In the area of wet-laid and spunlaced nonwovens Voith Paper and Trützschler present for flushable wipes and for other end products tailor-made solutions. For greater energy efficiency and lower carbon emissions, a spiral-shaped drum dryer with high evaporation was introduced during the last ITMA show. The Streamliner is best used in nonwoven lines producing extremely moist and high density nonwovens. Another pillar of the dryer and oven programme is the re-designed multi-drum dryer. The modular model has been optimized in several respects which result in significant reductions in both thermal and electrical energy consumption.

Trützschler Man-Made Fibers brings its staple fibre technology for the technologically challenging segment of short staple fibres into focus. One of the most important quality requirements of short fibres with a length of under 3 to 6mm is absolute length uniformity. Here the technologies presented come to full circle since short staple fibers are often blended with other fiber material for typical wet-laid products such as nonwovens wallpaper, high-quality tea bags and battery separators. Trützschler Card Clothing is offering new metallic wires for roller cards applications on doffers and condensers for technical nonwovens. Especially for medium and coarse fibres new and already field-tested tooth geometries are available, providing enhanced process stability and low maintenance.
