The new generation of heated underwear from Warmx GmbH from Apolda, Germany, prevents illnesses, releases tension and provides for a perfect sense of well. Silvered polyamide fibres are integrated into the garment and warm up directly on the skin without heating wires. The heated underwear comes with different heat zones which are knitted into the underwear, e.g. the kidney area or the feet. The heated underwear is powered by a microcontroller that adjusts the alternating resistance inside the textile circuit and provides energy for up to 6 hours of heating. Finally the technology of flat-knitted textile current circuits provides some more applications as textile sensors, pressure measurement or electrostimulation.
