26/02/2025 – Yarn Expo Spring 2025
Cotton yarn exhibitors prepare for spring showcase
Yarn Expo Spring, scheduled for 11 - 13 March 2025, will offer ample opportunities within the cotton sub-sector and a range of suppliers showcasing sustainable options. Over 500 exhibitors from 12 countries and regions are expected to participate.
Cotton is known to be the most commonly used natural fibre in the textile industry. Leading fashion houses and retailers are increasingly incorporating organic cotton into their manufacturing processes and supply chains, resulting in a significant rise in related yarn and fibre demand. In addition to traditional cotton yarn, the market is witnessing a growing interest in sustainable options. Yarn made from recycled cotton aligns seamlessly with the circular fashion trend and attracts a broad eco-conscious consumer base, with manufacturers poised to generate significant income. Moreover, the global organic cotton market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 44.4% until 2030[1]. With the world’s second-largest spinning capacity, second only to China, India has established itself as a critical supplier of cotton yarn to the international market, commanding a significant 31.2% share of the market[2]. At Yarn Expo Spring, cotton exhibitors from China, India, Pakistan, and beyond are gearing up to meet strong global demand, with buyers able to source a wide range of related products.
Highlighting quality cotton at the India Pavilion
As a longstanding pavilion, the renowned Cotton Textile Export Promotion Council (Texprocil) will provide a platform to showcase their members’ expertise across various yarn and fibre categories at the India Pavilion. The product scope covers pure cotton carding, pure cotton combing / compact spinning, viscose, blended yarn, synthetic yarn, recycled yarn, organic / GOTS yarn, spandex yarn, polyester-cotton blends, and more.
Speaking at previous edition of Yarn Expo Spring, Mr Murali Balkrishna, Joint Director of The Cotton Textile Export Promotion Council, said: “The continued attendance of Indian suppliers is due to the effectiveness of Yarn Expo as a business platform and the attraction of the vast Chinese market. India's textile industry chain and competitive advantage in quality and price have drawn many buyers to our booth, especially for India's popular twisted cotton yarn. We are grateful for this international platform and the valuable opportunities to expand our exhibitors’ global presence.”
