Our latest issue is all about technical textiles that are shaping the future of vehicle interiors, such as special 3D coatings, advanced textile finishing processes and innovative chemical solutions. We also cover the trending topic of digitalization in all its facets – from digital product creation and CAD software to digital learning platforms and commercial software. Anja Merker, Managing Director of the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Smarte Kreisläufe, explains in an interview with textile network how digitalization can support the implementation of EU directives and reporting obligations.

In the Fashion section, textile network author Angelika Frank presents the groundbreaking trend forecasts for the fall/winter 2025/26 season by well-known trend researcher Li Edelkoort. The issue is rounded off with a look at the latest developments in nonwovens, in particular sustainable product innovations.

New support in the editorial team

Our new colleague Jasmin Deschner joined the textile network team on September 1 and was able to demonstrate her skills right away while working on this issue. We are delighted to welcome her to our editorial team! As a trained foreign language correspondent for English and French, she not only has a love of languages, but also a great interest in technical developments and their interrelationships. Jasmin Deschner is your contact for all editorial matters. You can reach her by telephone on +49 951 861 116 or by e-mail at jasmin.deschner@meisenbach.de.
