Human Solutions continues to grow
The Human Solutions Group, headquartered in Kaiserslautern has recorded a revenue growth of 18 percent to 26.55 million Euro for the fiscal year 2015.
The Ebitda (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) amounted to 3.79 million Euro, 29 percent more than last year. Human Solutions has grown continuously and has shown positive results since 2010. This is also reflected in the number of employees: More than 200 people in Germany, Italy and the USA now work for the Group. 87 of these are based in Kaiserslautern.
The human body in focus
Placing the human being at the center of product development and manufacturing – that is the unique approach of the Human Solutions Group. The Group offers technological solutions for the apparel and automotive industries. “As different as both industries are, they have both changed in recent years and they now represent a market environment that is not always uncomplicated,” says Dr. Andreas Seidl, CEO of the Human Solutions Group. “This makes it all the more gratifying for us that we have nevertheless continued to grow. It shows that our products match the spirit of the times and that we offer solutions in which it is worth investing.”
Serial measurement programs in the US now at the starting line
The company became well-known through its development of body scanners, which measure the human body in just seconds. 2015 saw Human Solutions showcase a new model – the company's first color scanner. New data regularly flows into the iSize portal and the body measurements of some 100,000 people from nine countries are now available.
“Outsiders are often surprised that we work for the apparel and automotive sectors – but it’s crucial for these two industries that they have exact body dimensions available. We develop technological solutions for these industries using our unique knowledge of the human body.” Size NorthAmerica, the next international serial measurement program, is currently in the starting blocks and in the coming months, Human Solutions’ American subsidiary will measure around 17,000 men, women and children in the US and Canada.
Famous companies added to the customer list
During the past fiscal year, Human Solutions was able to convince several renowned fashion industry companies of the quality of its products – like the Italian company Benetton, for instance. Benetton has been working with Cad.Assyst and Automarker for several months now. Human Solutions programmed special additional functions for the fashion giant, tailoring the products precisely to match Benetton's unique requirements. In the Mobility sector, KTM has been using the digital manikin RAMSIS for the design of its motorcycles. Two Chinese electric car makers and a Chinese research institute which works for the largest agricultural equipment manufacturers in the country also use Ramsis for their projects.
Investing in R & D
Human Solutions invests heavily in research and development to stay ahead of its competitors in the field of technology. The Group is currently playing a leading role in ten ongoing research projects, the strategic aims of which are integrating solutions into existing IT environments and the field of 3D simulation.
