Big hit for the 23rd GERRY WEBER OPEN, the prestigious tennis tournament of the famous German brand, proudly sponsored by ISKO. The competition was won by Roger Federer, who took home his 8th triumph at GERRY WEBER OPEN, beating Andreas Seppi (7:6 and 6:4). This edition was marked by a series of records: the matches were shown in 140 countries and seen live by 111,600 visitors.

This year’s edition was even more exciting as millions of fans were able to follow the event on social media: all public posts from Facebook, Twitter and Instagram were shown streaming on two XXL screens outside the stadium as well as on the large screen in the press cafeteria. A brilliant initiative put on thanks to ISKO™ and its Command Center, the hub created especially for this edition in order to allow visitors to share opinions, pics and videos. The landing page www.iskosport.com made it possible for fans in front of the screen at home or at work to experience all the thrilling moments in near real time and to join in on the global conversation.

Some numbers: 194 million in social reach of GERRY WEBER OPEN, 22,400 mentions on Twitter and 1900 posts per hour during peak time; a constant upward trend that confirms the interest of the public for authentic social communication. The glamorous GERRY WEBER OPEN Fashion Night – powered by ISKO hosted 1600 guests this year, among which tennis superstar Roger Federer, actress Sophia Thomalla, model scout Peyman Amin, dancer Motsi Mabuse, MC Gülcan Kamps and pop singer Roberto Blanco.

Star model Lena Gercke led 20 international models on the catwalk showcasing the most important fashion trends of GERRY WEBER, GERRY WEBER EDITION, TAIFUN and HALLHUBER for the Autumn/Winter 2015/16 season. A live performance of Sasha, the performer of this year’s tournament song ‘Good Days’ completed the evening entertainment.
