A new partner for Italy
Effective October 1, 2017, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics will be changing its partner for road and rail transports for Italy.
In the future, the Osnabrück-based company will be handling daily scheduled services to and from Italy together with the Bianchi Group. With the new partner, Hellmann will be able to offer shorter run times and an optimized route network. Founded in 1924, the Bianchi Group is one of the leading international logistics companies in Italy. Today, more than 300 employees work for Bianchi in twelve branches in Italy and Switzerland. The Group recently generated annual revenues of over EUR 60 million.
Located in Como
The new Hellmann partner has a warehousing and handling area of 5,000 sqm with 30 loading gates on a 140,000 sqm logistics area at the Como distribution center. Additional receiving depots of the group are located in Modena, Padua, and Florence. Consequently, the Bianchi Group is able to ensure fixed transit times for all Italian postcode areas.
Solid 2-man occupations and the use of rail networks ensure fast lines on the way across the Alps to Italy. Additional value-added services should round off the service package.
More quality and security for the customers
Matthias Magnor, COO of Hellmann Road & Rail, sees the choice of the new partner as a decisive step to further strengthen the European transports of the Hellmann Group: "With the Bianchi Group, we have won a high-performance company for a successful cooperation at the highest level. In this way, we can significantly improve both run times and our transport network. For our customers, this means more quality and security for their Italian relations".
