Stretch workwear range

Additions to their range include “Tahoe”, “Lugano”, and “Meteor”. “Tahoe”, designed for shirts and workwear applications, stood out with its remarkable 20% stretch, thanks to the inclusion of 4% EOL fibers by “Xlance”. This fabric comprised a combination of polyester, recycled polyester, and cotton, aligning with the Better Cotton initiative. “Lugano”, Carrington Textiles` sustainable alternative is ideal for trousers and jackets in highly mobile environments. It offers 2-way stretch, durability, and comfort, thanks to the incorporation of “Lycra T400” eco made elastomultiester, a fibre that provides this textile with a durable stretch that withstands the rigors of repeated industrial laundering and maintains consistency of fit, aesthetic and performance over time and recycled polyester. “Meteor”, the heaviest fabric in Carrington Textiles' new workwear range, was well-suited for applications across various sectors, including railways, thanks to its certified hi-vis orange color availability.

Flame-retardant developments

Carrington Textiles also expanded its flame-retardant range with the introduction of “Flametougher 290AS Flex” and “Flameflex 300AS”. These fabrics offer comfort and safety, featuring EOL fibers for added flexibility. “Flametougher 290AS Flex ” is suitable for workers in high-risk industries, while “Flameflex 300AS” combined full certification for flame retardancy with the comfort and durability of a stretch product. “Flameshield Satin 425”, a first-of-its-kind flame retardant product, offered impressive welding protection with the comfort of cotton. Carrington Textiles also relaunched “Flameban 240”, part of their inherent FR range, offering a range of colors ideal for workwear applications. “Flametuff Satin 250AS”, a 250 gsm fabric, incorporated high tenacity nylon for increased abrasion resistance while retaining cotton's comfort properties. In addition to their commitment to sustainability, Carrington Textiles also expanded the color range of its “Balance Range”of sustainable fabrics, enhancing the aesthetics and versatility of their product offerings.

Furthermore, a noteworthy inclusion in Carrington Textiles` programme are the “CiCLO” fibers, recognized in North America for their biodegradability. Plastic bottles are used to produce fabrics like “Delamere 195”. Traceability is also a key focus for Carrington Textiles, and they unveiled their groundbreaking “FibreTrace” technology at the A+A. This technology offers textile fiber verification, traceability, and transparency, providing a comprehensive view of their recycled polyester supply chain while ensuring every step was environmentally responsible.
