The 57th edition of Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris has reinforced the event's position as Europe's premier textile and apparel sourcing platform, according to organizer Messe Frankfurt. The show welcomed 7,000 visitors and 1,300 manufacturers from over 35 countries at Parc des Expositions Paris-Le Bourget from September 15-17, 2025.

Strategic September timing pays off

Event organisers report a 25% increase in visitor attendance compared to July 2024, validating Messe Frankfurt's strategic decision to move the event to September for better alignment with fashion brands' evolving sourcing cycles. The enhanced three-hall layout, featuring dedicated spaces for products and services plus networking zones, contributed to more evenly distributed attendance and longer visit durations, according to the organisers.

Market consolidation drives demand

For the first time, the show achieved perfect balance between textile offerings and finished garments, reflecting fundamental shifts in buyer requirements. “Brands are expanding collections and diversifying offerings without necessarily managing production themselves,” explains Julien Schmoll, Marketing Director at Messe Frankfurt France. This consolidation trend is pushing buyers toward suppliers capable of delivering complete turnkey solutions across both large and small quantities.

Near-sourcing gains momentum

The Near Sourcing Hub, hosted by FourSource, showcased significant participation from Central and Eastern Europe. Portuguese manufacturer FashionTeam reported strong interest from French and Spanish brands seeking local production capabilities. “Buyers don't come to us for price, they come for service,” noted FashionTeam CEO Soames Rudowski, highlighting the value proposition of European suppliers.

Innovation takes center stage

Avantex Paris demonstrated the industry's commitment to sustainable innovation, with organisers announcing that GoldenEye Smart Vision won the Fashion Pitch 2025 for its AI-based textile quality control system. The technology addresses critical industry needs by detecting visual defects, optimising production processes, and reducing material waste. The event's success signals strong confidence in European sourcing capabilities as international manufacturers, including first-time participant Wing Ka Shing from Hong Kong, seek to establish stronger European market presence amid global trade uncertainties.
