The 15th Chemnitz Textile Technology Conference (Chemnitzer Textiltechnik-Tagung - CTT) on 31 May and 1 June 2016 has chosen as its motto “Textile technology – a key technology of the future”. The conference will be taking place at Chemnitz exhibition centre, which will concurrently be hosting “mtex+” and the 4th Chemnitz exhibition for lightweight design LiMA from 31 May - 2 June 2016.

The CTT will spotlight topics such as resource-efficient textile machinery and processes, smart textiles, semi-finished goods and pre-formed technologies, process automation and control, composites in lightweight construction, process and structural simulation as well as the sustainability of textile processes and recycling.

The CTT is organised by the Chemnitz textile machinery development association Cetex as well as the Institutes of Lightweight Structures, Materials Handling and Plastics (ifk) at the Technical University of Chemnitz, the Saxon Textile Research Institute (STFI) and the North-East German Textile and Apparel Industry Association (vti).
