Market conditions have encouraged companies to reassess how information is managed across the supply chain. Regulatory expectations continue to rise. Digital tools have multiplied. Many systems operate in isolation. Against this backdrop, Trimco Group and Retraced are combining their technologies to create a consistent data flow from supplier mapping to on-product communication.

Linking digital data with the physical product

Trimco Group's core expertise spans labelling, packaging, RFID and variable data solutions. Building on this foundation, the company has expanded into traceability by structuring data around the care and content label. This position gives Trimco access to product information at a point where accuracy and compliance are essential.

Retraced focuses on the upstream environment. Its platform supports supplier mapping, sourcing data management, claim validation and collaboration within a shared digital system. When integrated, the two solutions allow verified upstream data to be accessed through a QR code produced by Trimco. Depending on brand configuration, the scan directs users either to Trimco's Digital Manager with ProductDNA or to the Retraced interface.

Supporting evolving requirements

Growing regulatory alignment across European and international markets increases the need for consistent and accessible data. By linking supply-chain intelligence with product-level labelling, brands can draw on a transparency package designed to support readiness for frameworks such as the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR).

Collaboration as a practical necessity

Both companies emphasise that transparency cannot be achieved through a single system. Many global brands already use each provider independently. By aligning their solutions, Trimco Group and Retraced aim to reduce operational complexity, improve data accuracy and streamline traceability processes. The partnership reflects a broader industry movement towards connected, multi-stakeholder approaches to compliance and communication.

The result is a bridge between physical product identification and digital supply-chain information, making credible data available where it is required.
