Taking place across 27,000 sqm in Hall 8.2 of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), this edition highlighted the textile industry's ongoing evolution towards a circular economy, featuring products such as eco-friendly cotton yarns and recycled fibres. The textiles on show were complemented by an inspiring fringe programme that equipped buyers with valuable insights to forge quality business connections.

Speaking at the fair’s conclusion, Ms Wilmet Shea, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, expressed: “Yarn Expo Spring has demonstrated its international reach once again this edition, attracting visitors from around the world to our vibrant zones. Over the past few years, we have made a concerted effort to champion eco-consciousness within the textile industry, and through fantastic participation and a sustainable focus, Yarn Expo Spring 2025 has helped position the sector for a greener future. With each edition, this fair strengthens its alignment with ‘Texpertise Econogy’s’ mission to connect the global textile sector around sustainability and market trends.”

Worldwide diversity in industry representation

This edition saw a rise in international exhibitor participation, particularly from emerging sub-sectors such as eco-friendly cotton yarns, recycled and regenerated fibres, and more. Notably, the show also recorded a visitor increase of 10.3%, with some of the top visiting countries and regions being Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, India, Taiwan, and Türkiye. Buyers were drawn to the quality and variety of offerings across seven zones and multiple pavilions (International Zone, Chemical Fibre Zone, Cotton Yarn Zone, Fancy Yarn Zone, Linen Yarn Zone, Silk Yarn Zone, and Wool Yarn Zone).

The show featured a range of high-quality and organic cotton, recycled, and bio-based yarns and fibres with enhanced functionality, along with innovative products and solutions made from milk protein, plants, mint, tea, hemp, ice jade, traditional Chinese herbs, and more. The integration of these eco-friendly offerings reflects a broader shift towards responsible consumerism in the textile market. The exhibitor displays were complemented by a series of innovation-focused fringe events, including Tongkun – China Fibres Fashion Trends Show 2025 / 2026 and White Shark – China Yarns Fashion Trends 2025 / 2026, which highlighted the latest downstream trends for various yarns and fibres.
