Zünd at Texprocess 26 - Intelligent, efficient textile cutting for every requirement
From 21 to 24 April 2026, Zünd will present digital cutting technologies for a wide range of textile applications at Texprocess in Frankfurt. The international leading trade fair brings together 200 exhibitors from 28 countries and offers a comprehensive overview of modern processing technologies. At Hall 8, Stand D78, Zünd will showcase efficient and practical solutions for automated cutting – from optical detection and digital workflows to new functions for specific applications.
The centrepiece of the trade fair presentation is a Zünd G3 Cutter with table extension, illuminated support frame and MindCUT software. The integrated LED lighting ensures uniform illumination of the detection area and enables precise recognition of the finest patterns and contours. Optionally available curtains protect the area from disruptive ambient light, thus ensuring consistently high recognition quality.
For applications in the upholstered furniture sector, software partner Mind Technology will present the MindCAD 2D solution. The software supports efficient construction and preparation of cut parts for the furniture industry and complements the cutting workflow demonstrated on the Zünd Cutter.
In cooperation with Assyst, Zünd will demonstrate a processing workflow for digitally printed textiles. The cutting data is prepared digitally at Assyst using new AI features. The digitally printed fabrics are then cut at the Zünd stand. The focus is on the Shape Vectorization function of the MindCUT Studio software. This makes it possible to automatically capture printed shapes and convert them into precise contours for cutting – an efficient workflow particularly for on-demand production and variable collections.
The Feature Recognition function demonstrates how AI-supported processes further simplify cutting preparation. The software recognises the position of motifs on the fabric web, assigns them to the cut parts and automatically repeats this positioning along the entire roll material. This replaces the previously manual placement of motifs, accelerates preparation and ensures high repeatability and consistent quality – even with sensitive materials or patterned fabrics.
For the first time at a Texprocess, Zünd will demonstrate the integrated conveyor belt cleaning system in live operation, which cleans the conveyor belt automatically and without contact with each material feed. To illustrate the cleaning performance, fuzzy carpet material will be cut, among other things. The consistently clean work surface contributes to consistent cutting quality, trouble-free processing and stable vacuum performance. This is particularly advantageous with changing materials or highly sensitive textiles. The system operates exclusively with compressed air and requires no additional power supply.
