Marc Cain presents “Velvet Affairs” at a fashion show in Shanghai.
“Velvet Affairs” was the title of Marc Cain’s impressive show in Shanghai, where the looks of the upcoming fall/winter 2016 collections were presented at the city’s luxurious Jing An Shangri-La Hotel. Unusual pattern and colour combinations were showcased, ensuring plenty of variety with a real wow-factor.
As well as Peter Rothen, the German Consul General from Shangai, the list of front-row celebrities also included singer and actress Kelly Chan from Hong Kong. This was Marc Cain’s third fashion show in Asia and an opportunity for the brand to underline ist positive development and further expansion.
Marc Cain is meanwhile represented in 81 cities on the Chinese market: with 37 exclusive Marc Cain stores and 7 shop-in-stores, as well as being sold by 32 multi-brand stockists and another 23 upmarket specialist stores. This is a clear indication that premium quality German brands are successfully establishing themselves on the increasingly important Chinese market.
“The show impressed with its vibrant colours and looks. We were able to welcome a high-profile, international audience. And the positive feedback was overwhelming,” said a delighted Norbert Lock, Managing Director of Wholesale & Retail.
