Simone Ross to Teach Supply Chain Management
Starting in spring semester, Simone Ross, COO at Setlog Corp. New York, will teach Supply Chain Management at the renowned Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.
Simone Ross is lecturing on “Breakthrough Systems for Managing Product Development in the Supply Chain” at the fashion industry training center in Manhattan's fashion district. The course, which will take place twice a year in the spring and fall semester, will not only teach the basics of logistics but mainly provide industry-specific knowledge for the design of supply chains in the textile and design industries.
From the initial sampling to the sale at the store, the teaching content covers all stages of textile supply chains
Simone Ross, a graduate engineer in "Textile Technology with in-depth Information Processing", brings a wide range of practical experience from management positions at Hugo Boss, Gerry Weber, Switcher and most recently as Vice President Supply Chain - Global Fashion at Victorinox (USA / NYC). Among others, she was responsible for sportswear procurement at Hugo Boss for more than 16 years.
The lecture at the State University is aimed at students and professionals in the fields of design, product development and purchasing in the clothing and design industries.
The program includes lectures, demonstrations and practical exercises, and participants graduate with a certificate in Digital Supply Chain Management.
