Modtissimo returns in October 2021

Three months away from opening its doors, Modtissimo already has more than 100 confirmed companies. A sign that the industry wants to return to business.

Still with many uncertainties in Europe – and with some fairs happening shyly, like Paris and Milan – Modtissimo’s organisation is confident that on 7 and 8 October 2021, it will be able to return to physical contact with exhibitors and visitors.

“We are very confident in the next edition of Modtissimo because we are talking to companies that for many years were not exhibitors, and now are coming back. And not just Portuguese companies, but also international ones,” says Manuel Serrao, the fair’s director.

The meeting room of the oldest textile industry in the Iberian Peninsula gathers fabrics, clothing and accessories producers, clothing companies that work both in private label and with their own brands for adults and children, and services related to the sector. As usual, in partnership with CITEVE, the fair will present the sector’s great innovations in the iTechstyle Showcase and iTechstyle Green Circle.

Soon the organisation will open registration. “We are also receiving several registration requests to ensure the presence at the fair,” states Manuel Serrao.

  • Modtissimo is the largest fair in the Portuguese textile sector and the oldest in the Iberian Peninsula. Held twice a year – in February at Porto Airport and in September/October at Alfàndega do Porto – gathers the entire Portuguese textiles, from yarn producers to garment manufacturers, serving as a showcase for one of the largest textile clusters in Europe.
