 Alcantara by Andrea Incontri is a distillation of the creative partnership project between the brand that symbolises versatility par excellence and the designer's multifaceted style.

New milestones

 “Together we want to conquer new milestones in terms of performance, aesthetics, identity and responsibility”, declares Andrea Boragno, CEO and Chairman di Alcantara.

 For the Alcantara woman, Incontri imagined a wardrobe with a strong personality, that stretches the material's qualities by applying them to the most stylish fashion trends.

 “I became excited about my reflections on luxury. How many stereotypes exist in social dress? Some are extremely stylish, others decidedly outdated. I thought about visual power, recognizability, about desire tied to material value. Then I tried to turn this design idea into a precise and straightforward women's wardrobe,” explains Andrea Incontri.

 The collection is made up of allusions, of apparent contradictions that instead blend together harmoniously: technicality and tailoring, street style and couture attitude.

 Using Alcantara as his base material, Incontri created a mix that centres around tradition designed for the future.

 From the coat that becomes the symbol of Italian elegance par excellence, to the skirts that play the central role of accessory-piece, thanks to which he declares a deliberately eccentric style intention. Very logical contrasts: animal prints and the certification of an entirely "animal friendly" production, or rather that makes no use of animal products.

 Braided Alcantara, covered in catlike and snake prints, laminated, paired, hand-embroidered. In an ideal wardrobe made of timeless pieces Alcantara has many faces, designed to be worn like an artist's canvas, that paint on the body the style of the moment. The large pleats of the full skirts to "play" with what you wear, like with an "origami in motion". The prints of classic men's fabrics that become an illusion and an allusion to an everlasting style, which draws from the past and is plunged into a future that can only be imagined. Glen plaid, hound-stooth, pinstripe, and herringbone along with zebra print, fluorescent colour block and all-over prints. Laser mesh cuts, original patterns that expertly mix with eco-fur inserts and natural fibres.

 Puffy coats and jackets, sweaters and shirts. And then architectural dresses, which outline a dreamlike silhouette, making the most of the responsiveness of the Alcantara material. Experiments that lay the groundwork for inspiration.

 And then, the real accessories: the bags of life, that mark life's moments like clocks of desire. Macro weekend shoppers, for the city. For every woman, for every occasion and with every feeling.

 The Slash – backpack, bucket and tote – super chic and at the same time almost an indulgence, capable of containing the bare minimum or offering the space necessary for crazy shopping escapades and short trips.

 “Alcantara itself is an accessory: it goes with everything and everyone, from cars to models, from the latest generation computers to luxury yachts, from airplanes to works of art. Nothing is better than Alcantara to forge a new dimension of an accessory. Alcantara is the 21st century's second skin», concludes Incontri.
