Starting with the winter edition 2019 and working in conjunction with the FashionSustain conference, #Fashiontech which is organised by the Premium Group, as well as other events and showcases, this move will see the creation of a global hub for future-orientated fashion and sustainable innovations. Thimo Schwenzfeier has been appointed Director of the Messe Frankfurt events at Kraftwerk Berlin.

Looking to the future, Olaf Schmidt, Vice President Textiles and Textile Technologies at Messe Frankfurt, explained: “Our vision is for the fashion industry to enter an age of sustainable growth. This requires innovations that find dynamic solutions to social and ecological problems. By launching Neonyt, we are creating a global hub that brings together visionary industry experts, whilst creating a stage for sustainable living. We are also paving the way for the fashion industry to step into a new and pioneering future.”

Thimo Schwenzfeier, Show Director Neonyt, commented: “Sustainability in fashion has moved on from being nice to have to becoming synonymous with innovation and progress. I’m very excited to be raising our events at the Kraftwerk to the next level in collaboration with the tried-and-trusted team led by Bernd Müller.” Thimo Schwenfeier is carrying out this new role in addition to his responsibilities as Head of Marketing / Communication for the textile fairs by Messe Frankfurt.
