Greetings from Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics
Several important international textile trade fairs are currently taking place on the Huangpu River. Our author Hans-Werner Oertel takes a look around.

In the National Exhibition and Convention Center Shanghai, a comprehensive range of products on the subjects of fibres, yarns, fabrics, clothing, cleaning, fashion and textile machinery will be presented to the experts. Meanwhile, the 25th anniversary of Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics will be particularly celebrated.

At the opening of the 25th Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics, I have the impression that several of the 23 million inhabitants of the gigantic city of Shanghai have taken time off to take part in the event. 4,400 exhibitors from 33 countries – it’s huge! By the way, right next to textiles from Japan and Taiwan, the German Mittelstand will be presenting itself. An innovative highlight, which will be shown here, comes from the company Fidlock from Hanover: Patented magnetic snap fasteners, which also make textile containers more functional.
