The concept by Messe Frankfurt is to create a global platform for the future of fashion and sustainable innovation. The venue, a former power station known as the Kraftwerk, will become the place-to-be for sustainability and innovation in fashion. In an exclusive interview with textile network, Neonyt’s Show Director Thimo Schwenzfeier shares the ideas that are driving this project.

He says: We see Neonyt as being synonymous with the fundamental transformation of the fashion and textiles industry – be it in terms of digitalisation and influencers, new distribution and communication channels, innovative materials such as tights made from recycled fishing nets or new automated production methods that pave the way for local production. We are responding to these changes and our hub, comprising, among others, the Neonyt Trade Fair, the conferences Fashionsustain by Messe Frankfurt and #Fashiontech by Premium Group and various networking formats, is a place where experts can meet and share ideas. The name Neonyt means “the new new” and this is exactly what we want to reflect with each new season. We want to challenge the fashion industry and we want to pave the way for more sustainable fashion together with our stakeholders. The change of fashion is now!
