Full aisles, full stands, countless conferences, meetings, workshops and other events. Almost every evening there was a stand party somewhere in the halls. In a nutshell – the atmosphere was fantastic. 1,818 exhibitors (59 countries) and around 47,000 trade visitors (116 countries) are a great success for Messe Frankfurt and also for our sector. The fair was characterised by a good atmosphere and interesting innovations.

At the stands we visited and in the many discussions we had during the four days of the fair, we felt more positive energy than we had in a long time. The convergence of Techtextil and Texprocess now also seems to have finally succeeded. We think that's great! And, of course, we’re particularly happy about our “Live from Techtextil/Texprocess” online reporting which, during the fair, was the click highlight of the week. At our stand, our live ticker attracted plenty of attention on both screens.

There was also more on offer for the press than ever before, with one press conference chasing the next. The three topics digitalisation, Industry 4.0, sustainability and micro-factories together emerged as the main topics shaping the discussions. For four days, Frankfurt Exhibition Centre was once again the leading international platform for users of technical textiles from a wide variety of sectors, as well as manufacturers of clothing, fashion, upholstered furniture and leather products.

Detlef Braun, Member of the Board of Management, Messe Frankfurt

“Techtextil and Texprocess have brought together the world of textiles and its diverse user industries. The twin fairs impressed their audience, above all, with three aspects: more top decision-makers, a higher degree of internationality and greater satisfaction among exhibitors than ever before.”

You can read our detailed report in the upcoming print edition of textile network, issue 7-8.

More about the fair, the highlights and the awards coming soon in the online magazine.

The next Techtextil and Texprocess is scheduled for 4 to 7 May 2021.
