The Amann Group now offers its highly successful Sabaflex in greater thicknesses. This highly elastic sewing thread is made from PTT (polytrimethylenterephthalate) and is used for flexible closing seams and topstitching. Accordingly, Amann is extending its existing range of elastic sewing threads to include Sabaflex 30 and 50.
Comphil is Amann’s tailor-made finish for threads and twisted yarns designed for fibre composite applications. Comphil Finishing Technology enhances fibre matrix adhesion, whilst improving the processing properties (in sewing, knitting etc.) and increasing output. Tailored Fibre Placement (TFP) threads are found, for example, in the manufacture of window frames in the aviation industry.
