Extra-wide format, high speed
Karl Mayer has launched an extra-wide version of its HKS 3-M EL. The machine combines a 330" working width, which can be expanded by an additional 10", with a production speed of up to 2,800 min?¹ despite its XXL format. According to Michael Ahrendt, Global Head of Performance Fabrics at Karl Mayer, “With the HKS 3-M EL in 340", we offer the most productive machine in this configuration on the market.”
Flexibility across applications
Karl Mayer highlights flexibility as a key feature of the extra-wide 3-bar tricot machine, alongside energy-efficient technologies, intelligent automation solutions and low maintenance requirements. The HKS 3-M EL is designed to produce items with a wide variety of designs and high stitch densities. The company names fashion & apparel, home textiles and technical textiles as target sectors, with a particular focus on sports, active and athleisure wear.
Gauges, batching devices, pattern changes
The HKS 3-M EL is available in gauges E 28 and E 32 and with four different batching devices. For guide bar control, Karl Mayer specifies an EL pattern drive intended to ensure easy pattern changes and maximum precision. The Multi-Speed feature is listed as another option aimed at increasing flexibility.
