Optimistic about the future
The companies organised within the RS-Fachverband, the German association of roller blind and sun protection engineers, made a positive start to 2015, achieving figures comparable to the years before. Only 2014 outperformed the other years, witnessing a record spike in sales of 1.9bn Euro.
Given that the economic conditions for the rest of 2015 are likely to remain favourable (there is a general expectation that private propensity to consume will remain high), the companies affiliated to the RS are optimistic about the future. They are confident that the economy will continue to experience moderate growth, allowing the sector to build on the progress made last year.
As early as March, many companies were reporting healthy order levels after the winter break. 77 per cent expect to encounter additional demand for the 2nd half of 2015.
