By investing in four combined heat and power systems (CHP), LED lighting, photovoltaic technology and a judiciously chosen electricity mix, zwissTEX has increased its own electricity supply, saving 5,100 tonnes of CO2 emissions since 2014. This corresponds to more than a billion party balloons filled with harmful carbon dioxide!

In line with the international standards ISO 14001 and ISO 50001, zwissTEX has been successful in continuously analysing and improving its environmental and energy performance. The move to its new headquarters in Gerstetten-Heldenfingen will bring about further increases in efficiency which, in turn, will benefit the environment. The company is also in the process of expanding an energy plant which shares electricity, heat and cold with an adjacent facility, saving many more tonnes of CO2 in the process.

As a producer of high-tech textiles, zwissTEX has attained Bluesign and Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification and is therefore fully committed to the careful use of chemicals not only within its own company but also in its upstream supply chain.

zwissTEX already offers a whole host of polyester products made from recycled materials (PET, product waste etc.) and is a global partner in conserving product resources.

ZwissTex GmbH is an international player in the development, production, finishing and lamination of textiles. ZwissTex operates globally with locations in Germany, Mexico, China, the USA and France. The medium-sized group is headquartered in Gerstetten, Germany.
