These solutions include the following:

  • With the new neXloom “Elliptica-type DF-4”, Andritz is able to achieve 30 to 50% draft reduction in the first needleloom.
  • In terms of carding, the ProWin™ system represents a significant advancement in web weight evenness control, combining Andritz technologies for optimal fiber weight profiling and enhancing production efficiency. As a result, fiber savings of 7% a year can be achieved thanks to this ProWin™ patented equipment.
  • As a worldwide leading card & crosslapper equipment supplier, Andritz eXcelle batt forming technology and the upstream stitch-bonding process also clearly sets the benchmark in the automotive industry in applications from headliners to automotive seats lamination. Indeed, lines can achieve more than 500 kg/h/m at the card with this state-of-the-art eXcelle batt-forming.
  • Andritz airlay technology also plays a major role, especially when it comes to durable nonwovens.

Andritz’s airlay design offers unique advantages with the highest production uptimes adapted to dusty fibers and/or particles. This makes it possible to process sustainable raw materials such as recycled fibers from textile waste, natural fibers, recycled foam, and many more. The neXline airlay lines offer a high product versatility, with industrially proven capabilities from 300 gsm to 12,000 gsm, covering a wide range of applications not just in the automotive industry, but in the production of insulation, carpet underfelt, the mattress industry, and many furniture applications.
Andritz airlay technology can be equipped with the patented 3D airlaying technology capable of producing multiple density web, thus ensuring weight reduction and cost savings in the automotive industry.
All these solutions are available on Andritz brand-new lines as well as on retrofits on existing lines.
