Well protected on tour with STFI
Today, multi-functional protective clothing conquers more and more markets.
The Testing and Certification Department at STFI offers to its clients a wide range of services for PPE. The Saxon institute provides all test procedures for protective clothing against heat and flames according to EN ISO 11612 as well as for welders’ protective clothing according to EN ISO 11611 completely from one source. Furthermore, the portfolio includes the development of test and evaluation methods for risks by electrical arcs. Together with partners from research and industry, STFI thus is helping to make the work at electrical plants safer.
To improve electrostatic dissipative protective clothing, STFI’s experts are intensively dealing with the study of electrostatic phenomena and the development of appropriate test methods derived from it. The EN 1149-3 as a harmonized European test standard for textiles with included conductive fibres was developed at STFI as well as the corresponding test device ICM-1. The latter now belongs to the basic equipment of many international testing laboratories. Presently, the successor model is launched.
From October 27th to October 31st 2015, STFI’s Testing and Certification Department presents itself in Düsseldorf at “A+A” - the leading fair for safety, security and health. The exhibition team welcomes you in Hall 3, Booth G65.
