Over recent years, the company has expanded its portfolio with the MontexCoat coater, the coaTTex unit and the VertiDry convection dryer. Together, these systems are designed to bring precision, flexibility and energy efficient performance to a variety of technical textile substrates.

Coating plays an essential role in many of the sectors Monforts serves. Outdoor and architectural fabrics require a balance of water resistance, dimensional stability, opacity and durability, as seen in tents, awnings, sailcloth and blackout blinds. Transport interiors form another major field. Here, coatings influence abrasion resistance, tactile feel, stain behaviour and long term durability. For automotive suppliers, reproducibility across batches is critical, supported by digitally stored recipes that ensure identical results.

Industrial applications also account for a large share of coated textiles processed on Monforts lines. These range from high temperature filter media and flame retardant barriers to heavy membranes for biogas storage. Coating precision is equally relevant in composite reinforcement and carbon fibre prepregs.

The MontexCoat coater accommodates full PVC coatings, pigment dyeing, low penetration surface treatments and solvent coatings. Knife, roller and screen application methods can all be used, and quick transitions between fabric runs support economical use of energy and raw materials. The coaTTex system is dedicated to single sided coating with an air knife or knife over roller, adding properties such as waterproofing, liquid and gas protection or breathability. Both coating units can be integrated into existing finishing ranges or new Monforts MONTEX stenter systems.

As Monforts Marketing Manager Nicole Croonenbroek notes, the company’s stenter and dyeing technologies provide the foundation for many of these processes: "MONTEX stenters and THERMEX dyeing systems have long been industry standards for technical textiles, especially regarding energy efficiency and consistent production throughput. Their robustness and long service life remain key advantages for many manufacturers."

The recently introduced VertiDry convection dryer complements these coating units with fully contactless, energy optimised drying. It can be positioned before or after the stenter for pre drying sensitive fabrics or drying coated substrates such as airbags, denim and glass fibre materials. Additional envisioned uses include sportswear, outerwear, carpets, geotextiles and tarpaulins.

Monforts will exhibit at stand C60 in Hall 12.0.
