Archroma's “Color Atlas” is believed to be the largest color library for cotton and polyester. It provides fashion designers and stylists with readily available color inspiration, enabling them to bring their design visions efficiently and reliably to life while meeting their desired sustainability criteria and adhering to international eco-standards. With 5,760 color references, all in Adobe Swatch Exchange file format (.ase), designers can easily upload and integrate the colors into popular design software, facilitating global production with just a few clicks. Additionally, each color comes with a physical standard that includes accurate digital data and access to expert technical support worldwide. All this led to the “Color Atlas” being awarded the Business Expansion and Innovation prize.

Archroma was also recognized for its innovation in dye technology with three Just Style Excellence Awards for “FiberColors”, “Diresul Evolution Black liq“ and “Novacron Atlantic EC-NC”. Archroma’s “FiberColors” technology was awarded for helping move the industry towards a circular economy. In early 2023, the company introduced a collection of dyes made from recycled materials. These dyes are produced using a minimum of 50% waste-based raw materials, offering a sustainable alternative to petroleum-based dyes commonly used in the industry.

The second award in dyeing went to Archroma for “Diresul Evolution Black,” a dye developed specifically for black denim. Utilizing the company's advanced synthesis technology, “Diresul Evolution Black" offers several notable advantages over traditional sulfur black dyes. These include substantial reductions in water consumption during the dye synthesis process, as well as a distinctive shade and wash-down effect that sets it apart from conventional black denim dyes.

“Novacron Atlantic EC-NC” won its Just Style Excellence Award because the blue element delivers chlorine- and nitrogen oxide (NOx)-fastness alongside lightfastness. Based on a patented dye molecule, it offers a trouble-free way to produce more sustainable cotton casual wear and home textiles that look as good as new for longer.

“We have always believed that collaboration and continuous improvement will drive the textile and apparel industry forward to a more sustainable and prosperous future,” Dhirendra Gautam, Vice President, Marketing and Strategy, Textile Effects Division, Archroma said.
