The first issue of textile network 2023 has been published. The first surprise is a change in the editorial team. Sibylle Michel is going on parental leave. The current issue is a joint effort by her and her successor Anna Ugrica.

In terms of content, you can expect many interesting topics with a focus on automotive as well as textile and digital printing. Our correspondent John McCurry has taken a look at trends in textile printing for us (pp. 58–59). On pages 50–53 we summarise for you the latest developments in the automotive sector. And we have also rummaged around in other areas of the textile chain for you. On pages 44–48 you will find news from the entire sector. To conclude our first issue of 2023, we have an interview with Kalayu Gebru, the project manager of Solidaridad's "Bottom Up!" project. In this interview, he explains how the international network organisation is trying to make sustainability the norm throughout the supply chain in countries such as Ethiopia. We wish you an interesting read!
