POLYAVIN bPEN: CHT's polyethylene dispersion made from sugar cane as a climate-friendly alternative
The demand for environmentally friendly alternatives in textile finishing is growing since the carbon footprint can be reduced by switching from fossil to bio-based raw materials.
POLYAVIN bPEN from the CHT Group can be used to replace fossil raw materials, resulting in a positive carbon footprint. The USDA-certified product consists of 91 % bio-based carbon (according to ASTM D6866-22) and binds more CO² than it releases. It is of high quality, can be used flexibly and offers versatile added value in textile finishing and a longer service life for textiles. The use of bioethanol as sugar cane molasses as a pre-product to polyethylene production enables almost climate-neutral production.
POLYAVIN bPEN shows that technical excellence and ecological responsibility can be reconciled. With sustainable technologies such as POLYAVIN bPEN in textile finishing, the carbon footprint can be reduced and product quality improved. In this way, companies not only contribute to climate protection, but also secure a strategic advantage in a changing market.
Bio-based solutions such as POLYAVIN bPEN represent the future of textile finishing: environmentally friendly, high-performance and economically sustainable.
