Protective Wear Days 2026 in Landsberg
An increasing number of companies are developing protective wear for military, law enforcement and highly specialised applications. The Protective Wear Days bring together experts, share textile know-how and present solutions directly on machines and materials.
Format and target audience
On 9 and 10 June 2026, Veit GmbH in Landsberg am Lech will host the Protective Wear Days. The co-operation event is aimed specifically at professionals working in textile protective wear and personal protection equipment. Over two days, the programme combines technical presentations, practice-oriented workshops, an accompanying exhibition, networking opportunities and an evening event.
Participation fees are 49 EUR for members and 99 EUR for non-members; speakers attend free of charge. The conference fee covers the full daytime programme as well as the evening event including dinner.
Content: textile know-how, processing, digitalisation
The event focuses on textile knowledge and material science, digital product development with 3D and AI, supply chain management, quality management and processing for protective clothing. Presentations address protective wear from performance and comfort aspects through to thread and material properties.
From a practical perspective, the programme includes specific requirements for cutting woven fabrics with fibres such as Kevlar, seam solutions where every stitch counts, and modern textile welding with reliable seam sealing. A concluding workshop at the sewing machine demonstrates the sewability of technical textiles and concrete solutions directly on the machine.
Day two: colour, quality, sustainability, logistics
On the second day, the spotlight shifts to digital colour management, quality requirements and processing, sustainability as well as supply chain management and logistics. Topics include colour standards and PLM integration, innovative sewing applications for military clothing, high-frequency welding for demanding textiles, material knowledge for relevant components and logistics solutions from production through to end use.
The overall aim is to strengthen dialogue between all parties involved in this specialist field, address key issues for the protective wear sector and consolidate textile knowledge. A guided tour of Veit GmbH rounds off the programme.
