Smart promotion of green and digital transformation
The fifth meeting of the Addtex partners took place in Prato, Italy, at PIN s.c.r.l. Educational and Scientific Services for the University of Florence. From July 1st to 5th, 2024, the consortium gathered to review the latest results from each partner in the EU Erasmus+ project and to discuss further activities.

IVGT e.V., one of the twelve Addtex partners and a major textile trade association in Germany, participated in the event in Prato. The meeting was accompanied by a textile innovation bootcamp in the form of a summer school.
Students from Sweden, Spain, Romania, Ireland, and Portugal took part. The goal was to promote digital and sustainable innovations through practical methods such as Design Thinking and “Lego Serious Play”. Participants developed demonstrators using materials like sensor fabrics, e-textiles, knitted fabrics, and membranes, and presented their results along with business and marketing plans. Special attention was given to sustainability and recycling concepts. The necessary foundational information was provided to the students via the Smart, Digital and Green Skills Academy, which offers comprehensive training videos and sessions.
A webinar to present the results of the hackathons and the bootcamp is planned for September 2024.
