1st Saltex 2016: Premiere in Dornbirn
Bordering on four countries, Lake Constance is a technology stronghold with huge innovative potential, offering the perfect conditions for international partnerships and alliances.
The new trade event Saltex is cooperating with the “Smart Textiles Platform Austria”, which staged the fourth “Smart Textiles Symposium” on 29 to 30 October in Dornbirn, Vorarlberg. Technical and smart textiles are on the advance all over the world.
Micro-system technologies and textiles are opening up many exciting cross-industry opportunities. Conceived together with representatives from industry, politics and research, the event in Dornbirn does justice to these developments. The starting point for Saltex was and still is the enormous innovative potential in a region, that specialises, among others, in textiles. With a view to achieving closer cooperation beyond 2016, talks are currently under way with the Man-Made Fibres Congress, which has evolved into a global brand and has been taking place in Dornbirn for over 50 years.
Saltex– the Community Platform for Smart Textiles and Fibre Composites and their Industrial Automation – is initiating a systematic network in the textile industry that aims to link up the relevant agents from the fields of smart textiles and lightweight engineering. The objective is to promote a cross-industry dialogue and intensify the exchange of knowledge. The trade fair which brings together experts from the plastics, composites, textile and electronics industry, is designed to generate practical solutions for the future. Read more at textile-network.
Saltex – Smart Textiles und Lightweight Materials is scheduled to take place from 5 to 6 October 2016 at the exhibition centre in Dornbirn (A).
