Carrington Textiles expands Defence Range
Carrington Textiles, a global supplier of military fabrics, has launched a new addition to its Defence Range called “Spartan HT Flex Lite”.

The lightweight fabric was developed in response to a growing demand for comfortable and durable textiles for army uniforms. Carrington Textiles R&D Manager says: “We are seeing a growing trend for wearer comfort; this has transitioned from workwear to flame retardant, so it’s only natural that we see this transition into the defence sector. We wanted to develop a product that protects the wearer in the most challenging environments but at the same time is comfortable to wear”.
“Spartan HT Flex Lite” is made of 2% “Lycra” and 37% cotton for integrated stretch and wearer comfort, while 61% “Cordura” military grade nylon 6.6 is added for strength and durability. The fabric is suitable for combat uniforms in any region and can be printed to a bespoke design. Carrington Textiles has already received positive feedback from customers in the Middle East and is seeing interest from other markets.
