In many products, Tencel is synonymous with the best dermatological properties. Specifically in the field of home textiles, these properties can sway buying decisions and the choice of bed linen, for example. Textiles that are in contact with the skin must meet the highest quality standards. The test which was conducted by the FKT, the German association for skin-friendly textiles (Fördergemeinschaft Körperverträgliche Textilien e. V.) marks a significant first step for Lenzing.

“Good sleep can be equated with good health,” explains Dr Susanne Jary, Director Home & Interiors for Lenzing. “A medically proven base material such as the Tencel fibre can be beneficial to human health. Above all, bed linen that usually comes into direct contact with the skin, can contribute greatly to our general well-being,” Jary states. “This is why we think it`s really important to ensure our fibre meets the criteria defined by the FKT label, thus paving the way for its use in healthy home textiles,” Jary concludes.
