Shortly available to buy online from its new website, Pongees offers fabrics with tensile strength and lustre, that are structural yet soft. Incorporating contrasting fabrics in the new season’s designs is also a trend so Pongees is offering crisp structural tulles and organzas that will add drama to luxurious, lustrous satins and marocains; and crepe de chines and georgettes to increase depth and emphasise motion and movement.

Best known for its extensive colour palette, steel, graphite and pewter shades appear in stretch satins, which contrast with lily and dusky chiffons; peach, blossom, blush, melba, sable and nude to evoke a feel for a bygone era.

As the fascination for textiles and traditional art from indigenous cultures continues, every corner of the globe is explored – from the Russian Steppes to the Mojave Desert.

Vivid, vital and nurturing desert tones - rust, amber, crimson, burnt orange, turquoise, lapis, emerald, sapphire, ruby and jade - are just as important as cool mountain hues, ocean greens and midnight blues which can be found in the collections of crepe de chines, stretch georgettes and 3D laces.

For bridalwear, blush, blossom and dusky pink, create a peaches and cream colour palette, warming for a winter wedding, as an alternative to endless shades of classic white and ivory.
