Odor buildup is one of the main reasons why textiles are washed more frequently or discarded prematurely. With Livinguard® Better Fresh, Livinguard Technologies introduces a new generation of odor control that does not mask odors but neutralizes them directly at the molecular level.

The technology functionalizes textiles with a permanent positive surface charge. Odor molecules are attracted, bound, and neutralized; during washing, the surface is refreshed and ready for action again. This non-leaching mechanism ensures durable performance without releasing active substances and is entirely free of biocides and metals.

Performance has been validated in tests over up to 100 home laundries. At the same time, Livinguard® Better Fresh reduces microfiber shedding during washing by up to 80% by stabilizing the fiber structure.

In addition, Livinguard addresses the manufacturing phase with its EFD technology, enabling salt-free dyeing processes while significantly reducing water, energy, and chemical consumption.

This creates a holistic approach that connects manufacturing and use-phase impacts – helping brands align their products with emerging regulatory frameworks such as ESPR and EPR.
