A Strategic Partner in Volatile Times

Heimtextil 2026 is set to reaffirm its role as the leading global trade fair for home and contract textiles, providing stability and innovation in an era of economic uncertainty and rapid technological change. With over 3,100 exhibitors from 65 countries, the event will offer a comprehensive market overview, featuring new collections and solutions that address the evolving needs of the textile industry. Under the motto “Lead the Change,” Heimtextil 2026 will highlight how challenges can be transformed into opportunities. The newly optimised hall layout will enhance visibility and foster synergies by strategically combining product groups across textile and non-textile interior design. Olaf Schmidt, Vice President Textiles and Textile Technology, emphasises the fair’s ability to translate societal shifts into actionable business strategies, creating new market opportunities and facilitating industry exchange.

Trends 26/27: Tradition Meets Technology

The Heimtextil Trends 26/27, a cornerstone of the event, will find a new home in Hall 6.1, surrounded by Bed, Bath & Living and Textile Design segments. In collaboration with Alcova Milano, the curated Trend Arena will showcase progressive megatrends for retail, industry, and contract business. Under the theme “Craft is a verb,” the trends will merge traditional craftsmanship with AI-driven technologies, offering fresh perspectives through natural materials, handmade designs, and AI-generated colours.

Innovative Interior Design and Smart Bedding

Renowned architect Patricia Urquiola will present her immersive installation “among-all” in Hall 3.0, setting new standards for textile interior design. Her work demonstrates how AI-powered design can address individual needs and create innovative spatial concepts for retail, hospitality, and healthcare. Meanwhile, the new “Sleep & Meet” area in Hall 4.0 will focus on Smart Bedding, connecting mattress retailers, hospitality professionals, and volume buyers with leading brands such as Auping Germany and Schwarzwald Schlafsysteme.

Sustainability and Global Synergies

Heimtextil 2026 will also champion sustainability, showcasing innovations in recycling and circular economy practices. The expanded Carpets & Rugs segment and the Fibres & Yarns offering will underline the fair’s commitment to sustainable solutions across the textile value chain. By combining tradition with cutting-edge technology, Heimtextil 2026 promises to be a transformative event, offering the global textile industry the tools and inspiration needed to navigate the challenges of the future.
