The laboratory tests based on Oeko-Tex Standard 100 are conducted exclusively by the Oeko-Tex member institutes in Europe and Japan, with a view to guaranteeing globally uniform testing standards

Since 1992, Oeko-Tex and its products Oeko-Tex Standard 100, Step, Mystep, Made in Green and soon also the Eco Passport have been offering brands, producers and the trade a broad spectrum of services to support them with the implementation of their sustainability strategies.

The concept and further development of each of the Oeko-Tex services is based on several central requirements. For example, the services are available globally, and they can be applied to all production stages along the textile chain; they are perfectly tailored to the needs of the textile chain and are based on the principle to continually improve the standards achieved so far. As a result, these services are of fundamental importance to a company’s quality requirements and quality assurance concepts for products and production processes.
