The Cordura brand and Lenzing Tencel collaborated to launch our latest “’Softened Strength” denims at Munich Fabric Start 2016. The Cordura Denim ‘Infinity’ Collection, part of the “Authentic Alchemie” portfolio, is the first of many offerings to come incorporating Tencel fibre. The denims combine the best elements of both of our brands to merge softness with strength, fashion with function and durability with definition.

Through this collaboration, we are continuing to transform our apparel fabric portfolio to elevate its softer side. This helps raise the bar to create lightweight, comfortable solutions that do not compromise on durability.

Why at MFS?

As one of the top trade shows in Germany, Munich Fabric Start was the ideal event to launch our new collaboration with Lenzing TENCEL . Being part of the denim community at both MFS and BLUEZONE provided an opportunity to showcase our new fabrics amongst the latest trends, washes and finishes in denim.

How was your impression from MFS?

At Munich Fabric Start, we observed how performance is continuing to become a key factor in the fashion world with fabrics and garments that are designed not only to look stylish, but offer enhanced longevity and durability as well. As a trend, consumers are looking for well-designed clothing that can help keep them fashionable and functional throughout the day, and the trend insights we gained from the show itself and our media and customer meetings were invaluable. Seeing this convergence of style and performance and exploring how durability is intersecting with the more delicate side of textiles at MFS is certainly one of the influences that I personally see inspiring our next generation of Cordura fabric innovations.
