Textilfasern aus Stärke

Ein Forschungsverbund aus vier Partnern will pflanzliche Stärke als Textilfaser nutzbar machen. Beteiligt sind das Institut für Textiltechnik der Rheinisch-Westfälischen Technischen Hochschule Aachen, das Fraunhofer Institut für Chemische Technologie, der Hersteller von Biopolymer-Compounds Tecnaro und der Textilhersteller WarmX GmbH. Gemeinsam wollen die Partner ein umweltfreundliches, lösemittelfreies Schmelzspinnverfahren für den preisgünstigen Rohstoff Stärke entwickeln.
