The Castellbisbal site has a rich heritage dating back to 1921, with a history of breakthroughs that have influenced the textile industry. Archroma`s sulfur dyes have played a crucial role in denim, casual wear, and workwear fabric production, offering exceptional color fastness and cost-efficiency. The site is known for innovations like the “Diresul RDT” range in the 1980s and the recent “Diresul Evolution Black”, which reduces the environmental impact of dye synthesis. Archroma`s research center in Castellbisbal has also developed pioneering technologies like “Diresul” earth colors and fiber colors dyes, using waste materials from the food and textile industries. These innovations promote circularity in the textile industry. The Castellbisbal site not only maintains rigorous quality control measures but also engages with the local community and supports academic institutions specializing in chemistry. Furthermore, it produces dyes for the paper market. Mark Garrett, the CEO of Archroma Group, expressed the company´s commitment to maintaining high standards and investing in the Castellbisbal facility to continue leading advancements in the textile industry.
