The long-established Swiss company Schoeller Textil AG is known for innovative, stretch woven and warp-knit fabrics for Performance, Protection, Sports and elite sports categories. Lubrizol is a specialized chemical company based in Cleveland, Ohio (USA), which has developed a new elastomeric fiber. Schoeller’s partnership with Lubrizol to utilize the X4zol-J fiber program enables the companies to jointly develop new textiles which meet a previously unachieved standard in terms of compression, fabric elongation and wearer comfort.

X4zol-J

Lubrizol’s innovative new fiber takes apparel fit to the next generation, as it provides balanced 360º of comfortable stretch and support, breathability and sustainable benefits. Lubrizol X4zol-J, a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) fiber, is a new elastomeric monofilament that is manufactured differently from spandex, resulting in unique qualities that provide high wearer comfort. X4zol-J is created through solvent-free melt extrusion.
