Peignage Dumortier’s skills in the field of carding and combing technical and functional fibres (meta- and para-aramid, flame retardant viscose and polyamide, PLA, PVA, antistatic,...) are recognised by the world’s leader in the technical textiles for protective technical fabrics.

For many years, Peignage Dumortier has put its production tool and the know-how of its teams at the service of recycled and upcycled synthetic and natural textile fibers allowing their reuse in the production cycle of yarns.

To formalize this approach, Peignage Dumortier has been awarded the GRS (Global Recycle Standard) label.

In addition, the company is committed to innovation in order to reduce the impact of fashion textiles on the environment and is involved in the circular economy through the recovery of waste from the industry.

For example, Peignage Dumortier transforms fiber blends into sliver, including fibers from fraying, creates a workshop dedicated to carding and combing linen, hemp and nettle fibers, and develops the transformation of French and European local wools.

  • Peignage Dumortier is a member of Clubtex (club of textile companies working on the technical textiles segment), of Ceti (European Center for Innovative Textiles), a founding member of the Tricolor Collective whose goal is to promote the wool industry in France, of Tourcoing Entreprendre, of the Alliances Network, of the Organic Flax and Hemp Association. These networks allow fields of reflection and development for the French textile industry, which illustrates Peignage Dumortier’s determination to be a vector of textile innovation and a responsible actor for the environment.
