Due to the impact of Covid-19 there will be no possibility to conduct the congress in its usual form this year.

The travel restrictions and the extraordinary economic situation complicate the planning of events. The health aspect and the safety of the visitors are in the foreground of the decision.
Dornbirn-GFC 2020 – Webinar Week
As an alternative the organizer will offer some lectures and discussions in the form of webinars.
From 16 to 18 September 2020 with a focus on the following topics:
Opening with keynote on “Green Deal – Implications for the textile Industry” and the awarding of the “Paul Schlack/Wilhelm Albrecht Prize”.
Lectures and discussions on the topics: “Leading Polymer Recycling Technologies”, “Smart, integrated, digitale textile production chain”, “Lessons learned from packaging – EPR schemes for Textiles” and “Circular Economy”.
Further lectures and discussions on the burning issue on “PPE Production – a challenge for the industry”.
The Dornbirn-GFC dates for 2021:
60th Dornbirn-GFC, 15 – 17 September 2021
1st Dornbirn-GFC Asia, 2 – 3 March 2021 (tbc)
