The highlight will be a fully networked embroidery machine that demonstrates the benefits of digital transformation in the textile industry.

The exhibit shows the focal points of the SME 4.0 Competence Centre “Textil vernetzt”, in which STFI is involved. Due to the networking of this machine and the use of assistance systems and smart sensor technology, customer-specific products can be manufactured quickly and flexibly. Visitors will have the opportunity to get a personalized finished textile made on site at the booth.
Furthermore at the booth are various demonstrators of Smart Textiles, e.g. a sensor cord for monitoring of buildings and a sensor padding for use in the medical and care sector. Also on show: the pattern of a climate canvas made from textile-based heating and cooling structures using thin textile-integrated capillary tube systems. In addition, exhibits on the latest research results from the fields of textile lightweight engineering (composites made of rCF-nonwovens), filtration (filter media made of multifunctional nonwovens) as well as functionalization & protective textiles (3D printed abrasion protection, explosion proof security bag) will be shown.
At the booth of the co-exhibitor, future Tex will be exhibited various demonstrators on RFID and networked manufacturing as well as an exhibit of the implementation project Textile Prototyping Lab (TPL). This project deals with the early integration of creative research into product development to support trend-setting, textile innovations.
